Everybody is free

“Depression” – The root of all the problems.

These days I have observed a wave of depression everywhere…

This post is dedicated to all the people out there, who are suffering from depression,
Who don’t know what to do?
Where to go?
What is good n what is bad?

Guys, I use to listen to this song when ever I am down, when ever I feel sad or confused and believe me it has helped me a lot. It’s one of my all time hits, so I would like to share this song with you all.

You are not as fat as you imagine.

Don't worry about the future, or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.

The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind: the kind that blindsides you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts; don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don't waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.

Remember compliments you receive; forget the insults. (if you succeed in doing this, tell me how).

Keep your old love letters; throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives; some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't.

Get plenty of Calcium. Be kind to your knees -- you'll miss them when they're gone.

Maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll divorce at 40; maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary.

Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself, either. Your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's.

Enjoy your body: use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it or what other people think of it; it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.

Dance...even if you have no where to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions (even if you don't follow them).

Do not read beauty magazines; they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents; you never know when they'll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings: they're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but what a precious few should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps and geography and lifestyle, because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard.

Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths: prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old; and when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, prices were reasonable, politicians were noble, and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse, but you never know when either one might run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you are 40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia; dispensing it is a way of wishing the past from the disposal--wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts, and recycling it for more than it's worth.

But trust me, I'm the sunscreen.

wow.. fairly good. Although I have heard/read it before. Depression, maybe its the monsoon? They say the lack of sun depresses ppl

@ Nabeel : ya problems are the root of depression but once you are depressed you will have more problem and then you will be depressed againg… :P:P:P so it’s a visious cricle…. One need to move out of it…. Thanks for reading my post yar…

I think my stock of old letters is still sitting back at home, every year I save it from my MOM who would want to throw out my trash..And my financial statements, hihihi...I dont even have them..I outsourced the little I have.....:)

I like the words...Never heard the song before...Do lend me the MP3 if possible....
BTW is Depression the root cause of all problems or problems the root cause of depression? Me thinks it is viscious....It goes both ways....And it hurts mentally n physically, not only you but also the people and things around you in ways we don't realise.....:) :) I am trying ot cheer up coz I was depressed over nothing for 3 days and yuck...at the end of the 3rd day sopmeone told me I am behaving so moody n like one BIG whtever...I caught my reigns n turned over n said, no depression for me!! :) :)

i just found out .. a couple of months ago that .. see medicines make you depressed .. and some medicines have a server depression as a side effect .. so be careful and be on a loook out.

And yes it's a vicious circle .. it's hard to get out on ur own .. but if you have a helping and loving hand it's easier :)

@ SCRIBBLEZ : Hey you are lucky yar… you know I don’t have even a single (love)letter, thanks to Mobile / Mail / Chat / SMS / n now ORKUT. But yeah I have lots of cards (b’day cards n others) n whenever I get time I just read them again…

Abt depression n problem… I know buddy… it’s a part of life and “life goes on…” Right?

thanx for dropping by my blog and for the comments.well... depression is like a shadow. Appears whenever the sun is strong. But keeping a cool head, having supportive friends always help

Not a weird logic but yar it’s not that kind of post. Rather if you read the song / listen to that song you will much better. Should try at least once. Link is provided in comments here…
